The sea moves without end — and in that motion there is a strange medicine. A long exposure doesn’t freeze a wave; it lets one breathe across the frame until nothing is left but color: aquamarine, seafoam, the pale gold of first light.
Soft Water is that meeting point. The restlessness of the ocean, held gently enough to live on a wall. Every image is made on the Mediterranean coast of Israel — the same sea, in a thousand moods.
The artist
Soft Water is the work of Andrey Wagner, a fine art photographer based on the Mediterranean coast of Israel. Andrey works exclusively with long exposures at the edge of the sea, returning to the same shorelines through every season and hour of light. Each print is made from a single exposure, edited by hand, and personally inspected and signed before it ships.
